Grower Spotlight | Dan Corn

We recently had the opportunity to visit and interview Dan Corn who is an integral part of our onion program in Eastern Oregon.

Dan started farming onions back in 2005 when he was just 20 years old and has been working with Eagle Eye Produce since the beginning of his career. He is knowledgable, passionate, and dedicated to his work. Dan was also recently awarded the Nyssa Chamber of Commerce’s Agriculturist of the Year award. Dan and Melissa Corn are staples and stewards of their community and It was a well-deserved award.

Dan was able to shed more light on this year’s growing season.  We have had mild temperatures and a lot of sun which is ideal for onions.  We started planting in early March, and we will start harvesting the first week of August which is on schedule.  Our volume and acreage have remained stable, and we’re expecting a great yield, quality, and size from this year’s crops.

Eagle Eye Produce is proud to offer a quality year-round supply of onions with a wide array of retail and foodservice pack styles under several of their proven brands. They offer everything from 2-pound mesh retail packs to bulk cartons and bins.  Find out more here!
